Best color granite and hardwood floors to go with cherry cabinets?
I was thinking black granite with a gold fleck to it. For the hardwood floors I was thinking natural stain or a multicolored hardwood called Lotus. It has some cherry, natural, and light colors in it.
Cherry is going to get very dark as it ages so you should get floors that are a lighter shade. I would stick with red oak. They are durable and look very nice.
As for the granite I would go to the granite yard and find what you like. It may change while you are there. When we remodeled our kitchen last year we thought we wanted a black granite to go with our Brazilian Cherry/Red Oak floors (we have both with an unstained strip of maple separating them) and maple cabinets.
When we started looking at slabs -definitely look at whole slabs- we decided we wanted something more interesting. We ended up getting a granite called Blue Pearl Royale. Its definitely NOT black, and we love it.
