how to remove a .38 special bullet from a brass case?
i have some Remington .38 special bullets, and i want to remove the head, and gun powder and stay with the shell and primer intact... what I'm trying to do is make wax bullets for practice shooting in my backyard... i don't want to have to order the brass, order the primers and wait 2 weeks to receive it because im not paying $40 for faster shipping.. some say use plyers and twist others say the primer may somehow go off and obviously ignite the powder and make a big mess of my fingers
thanks guys i just used some plyers and vice grips to slowly pull it out... found the kinetic bullet puller but after using a couple of casings i will just get primers and re-use them... thanks again... no thanks to Chrisysue who believes i often have the urge to rip things apart :0P
Unless you're very careful you can deform the brass and it won't be able to chamber. If you don't already know the answer it's unlikely you have the skill to perform the task.
Buy a bullet puller... it'll probably take as long to get that as it would the components you need but it'll satisfy your need to rip something apart. From your previous questions I can see you get that urge often.
